The driver and passenger fled the scene after crashing the car into the pensioners home

March 15, 2015

The car was travelling along a 30mph road where it is believed to have flipped, sending it through a brick wall before coming to a halt in a pensioner’s kitchen.
Both the driver and passenger were later caught by locals who sent them back to the scene of the crash.
Carol Stone had stepped out of her kitchen just before the car smashed through her kitchen wall.
Mr Stone said: “My wife said she was standing there just 30 seconds before preparing tea for the evening.
“She put something in the fridge and walked out of the door when there was a blast.”
The couple’s Peugeot was also badly damaged in the crash and debris from a low brick wall at the front of the house, about 20ft from the kitchen, was left scattered on the drive.
